It should not take that long.
How did you perform the upgrade? just by replacing the war in your servlet
container? export & import all of the data? can you please elaborate
Basically, between versions 2.3 to 2.4 it can take 4-6 hours with full
indexing of your files, but since 2.4 it should take 1-2 hours. Of course
it is depends on your machine (CPU, Disk speed).
Please read the wiki page about upgrading Artifactory and notice that you
are not always have to export and import all of your data with re-indexing
the files in the new instance (which may take some time..)

Also, you should know that Artifactory 3 is out. I'm highly recommend to
upgrade since Artifactory 3 delivers a huge performance boost and faster
upgrading process.
