I'm encountering the same issue that has been reported in a few places:
http://forums.jfrog.org/Artifactory-not-allowing-files-of-size-more-than-100MB-tp7141696p7143116.html
http://forums.gradle.org/gradle/topics/gradles_mavendeployer_ignores_authentication_credentials_when_uploading_large_files_to_artifactory

When I try and upload (through Gradle) a file of around 250MB, it fails
despite the fact my max file size is configured to 500MB. When I look in the
artifactory access log, it shows for a normal upload:

But for a large upload, I receieve:

The only workaround reported is to use the artifactory plugin, which is not
a feasible option at the moment (this is for a custom plugin). I'm calling
artifactory in Gradle as a Maven repo as so:

I'm pretty sure the bug is not on the Gradle side but that Artifactory is
not sending a proper 401 challenge. Does anyone have any other suggested
work arounds for large files? Or know why Artifactory isn't respecting the
fact I changed the max file size parameter to 500MB?

Thanks!
