Hi. I set up the Artifactory Cloud free trial a few days ago, and have continued to experience problems with it. The default installation creates default users, assigns passwords, creates default groups, and places users. After installing the generated settings files, I made many attempts to figure out why the default "deployer" user in the default "deployers" group could not actually deploy to the repository using Maven. Eventually I discovered the well-hidden permissions UI, and realized that the default users and groups are not actually assigned any permissions that their names would imply. Even after granting the "deployers" group full delete, deploy, annotate, and read permissions for both "Any remote" and "Anything", I still get access errors of the type:
The users and passwords in the .m2/settings.xml file appears fine (it was generated by Artifactory after all). I also set up the releases and snapshot repositories in my pom.xml according to the Distribution Management snippets provided by Artifactory, so that should be fine. The Artifactory access log simply states: What else do I need to get something as simple as a deployment to a repository working? (I'm also still waiting to hear an answer to my previous question.) -- View this message in context: http://forums.jfrog.org/Default-Artifactory-Cloud-setup-refuses-deployment-tp7579449.html Sent from the Artifactory - Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Shape the Mobile Experience: Free Subscription Software experts and developers: Be at the forefront of tech innovation.
