I just configured a new system with Debian Linux [Wheezy] and Artifactory
3.0.4

Artifactory is up an running, and the user interface is accessible on the
localhost:8081/artifactory url.

I cannot connect to the Artifactory UI [or from maven] from another box on
the same subnet [connected by Ethernet switch]

The 'netcat' application reports success:
$ nc -z -4 10.128.109.89 8081
Connection to 10.128.109.89 8081 port [tcp/*] succeeded!

Chrome & Firefox timeout / report connection failure. The Tomcat logs do
not show a connection attempt.

On the host, the netstat utility does not show anything listening on port
8081 [netstat -4 -a -p --numeric-ports]

No firewall is configured [iptables is blank on the fresh Debian
installation]

Are there any recommended next steps for troubleshooting?

Suggestions on Tomcat/Artifactory configuration changes?
Blow it away and try a fresh install with a RPM based Linux?
