This does look like a bug. Would you mind creating an issue at https://github.com/atmtools/arts<https://github.com/atmtools/arts?>? It should be an easy fix, so I could have this ready early next week. If you don't want to update ARTS, the appropriate work around would be to add the blocks, i.e., the two on the diagonal and the upper off-diagonal block, separately.
