Role: Flash/Action Script Developer
Location: NYC
Duration: open-ended.

*Description*
The Flash Developer will design, test, implement and maintain software
systems to meet client needs. The position requires a responsible, team
oriented, well organized individual with strong communications skills and
the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while adapting quickly to
rapidly changing priorities. This is a rare opportunity to be part of an
organization that is shaping the future look and feel of interactive media
and television.
*Qualifications: *
-5+ years designing, writing and testing new software programs**
-Deep understanding of Object Oriented technology and implementation
techniques ('patterns'
-Extensive knowledge of Action Script (AS2 and AS3)
-Experience developing web front ends (HTML, Flash, and JavaScript)
-Experience developing with Java
-Understanding of backend web development languages (PHP, Perl)
Proven experience in designing API's for and writing re-usable flash
components
-Proven analytical / problem solving ability
-Good understanding of OO technology
-Proven analytical / problem solving ability
-Understanding of systems development lifecycle process
-Able to work and contribute to a team environment
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Required to be flexible, detail oriented and organized with the ability to
multitask and work independently
-Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred (Comparable
experience is acceptable)
*Responsibilities:*
-Design and build Adobe Flash video components
-Design, write and test new software programs
-Further develop existing systems by analyzing and identifying areas for
modification
-Create technical specifications
-Work closely with other staff, such as product managers, graphic artists,
systems analysts, and sales and marketing professionals
-Problem-solving and thinking laterally as part of a team, or individually,
to meet the needs of the project
