*Security Systems Engineer* *Duration: 3-6 Months* *Location: CA*** *Rate: **$50/hr * * * *Skills*: Security Engineer, NIS, CIST, Security hardening Standards *Responsibilities:* Will provide security expertise in the systems and application environments within Security & Compliance: *Includes:* * Develop, implement and document security hardening standards based on NIST or CIS benchmarks for all workstations, servers, services and applications. * Works as a liaison between IT, the lines of business and Information Security to ensure full and complete implementation of security controls, standards and monitoring tools * Provides security expertise for Windows and Linux/Unix operating system environments and their configurations. * Implements and tests technical controls and processes for PCI compliance in the systems and applications areas. * Manages IT and company compliance issues. * Produces detailed documentation including data flow diagrams, logical diagrams, and physical diagrams as required. * Develops, enhances and executes security operations processes as required. * Assists IT operations with remediation planning, testing and implementation.
