*Job Title : Unix/AIX Senior System Administrator* *Location : Pleasanton, CA* *Duration : 3-4 Month contract* * * ****** This is an IMMEDIATE NEED !! ****** Minimum Requirements: Minimum requirements for this position include 5+ years of experience in the IT field with Unix environments; a BS or AS degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience); and advanced level knowledge of Unix environments and all aspects of the primary product, program and technologies. You must also have the ability to function independently with minimal oversight/direction and instruct, guide and mentor lower level technical professionals. Proven ability to interface with non-technical users. Skills Required: Include but not limited to: Unix/AIX. Emphasis on IBM AIX 5.3 and 6.1 OS System and associated tools ( VG, LVM, netbackup tools). pSeries - Power5 and Power6, LPARs, DLPAR, memory and processor pools. HACMP Clustering . AIX connectivity to IBM storage(EMC, Shark). NIM server setup and configuration. VIO server and clients setup and configuration, virtual SCSI and ethernet, AIX virtualization tools. Proficiency with UNIX kernels, Networking, Web, hardware configuration, support and maintenance, network protocols, system security, various commercial UNIX applications. Working knowledge of AIX/Solaris/Linux Operating environment, EMC and IBM Shark Storage Devices, Tape Drives, NIMMS, HACMP and related UNIX technologies. Exposure to Oracle, Sybase, UDB, Web application, Java, Web sphere, IHS, Network Dispatcher, HACMP Clustering, NIS, DNS, NFS, Volume Manager and other related UNIX tools.
