Defines business/system requirements by facilitating user meetings and interviewing users, developing use cases, and researching and resolving issues. Participates in business analysis project planning and management by documenting and maintaining plans, managing issue logs and preparing project documentation. Analyzes current processes and recommends solutions and improved processes. May also oversee the acquisition, analysis and dissemination of subject matter knowledge. Provides technical and business knowledge to clients. Keeps abreast of technological and competitive developments. Conducts research on industry practices and standards and other benchmarking data. Codes and maintains business application programs from user instructions or formal functional specifications. Experience in the analysis and testing phases in the development cycle. In support of the Cash and Due project, Consultant primarily will use advanced MS Office skills (Excel and Access) to extract and analyze data from various sources including Oracle databases, Filenet (IBS reporting frontend), Excel spreadsheets and files in other formats (eg. Text, CSV, etc). The Consultant will compile and transform data into a consolidated Master lead Sheet containing Corporate financials and all other source system data. The Consultant will run MS access queries or utilize Excel to identify, analyze and resolve issues, troubleshoot and validate results. User reports must be in Excel spreadsheet format. Consultant must document processes. All work must be complete, accurate and timely. Consultant must have an understanding of accounting processes and financial applications; experience with Oracle E-business suite and analytic tools such as Essbase; ability to analyze financials; advanced MS Access and Excel skills. Consultant must be able to analyze current data gathering techniques then design and develop a working database model either through MS Access or MS Excel; able to code using VBA in both MS Access and Excel. Consultant must be team player, self-starter with good communication skills.
