Job Title: QA Tester with Networking and UI Experience Location: Los Gatos CA Duration: 6 Months contract with extensions We’re looking for an enthusiastic, smart, technically strong QA engineer with a passion for testing well designed, maintainable applications. • Work in a small team and develop tests to find bugs and ensure compatibility in current and upcoming versions of our client and server applications • Deep understanding of software, networking, and consumer electronic devaices contributes to this skill. • Communicate cross-functionally for a complete understanding of context and technology • Focus is on the end-user rather than the code Ideal candidate will possess the following skills: • Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in functional and UI testing for client/server applications • Strong white and black box testing skills • Ability to create adaptable test plans from evolving requirements. This includes the ability to extract test cases without written design documents. • Experience working on a 1.0 version of a product or another highly nimble development effort. • Ability to comprehend complex system architectures and find creative approaches to testing them. • Strong experience with networking technologies (HTTP, DNS, SSL, TCP/IP) • Experience with UNIX/Linux shell.
