*Job Description:* DBA will provide support for Oracle 11g RAC databases in Development, Test and Production environments as needed. General duties include: Performing database changes associated with new product releases. Performing Oracle RAC software installations and upgrades associated with new product releases, including RAC installation and setup. Routine database performance tuning and administration activities. Developing robust Linux/Unix shell scripts to support routine maintenance and monitoring activities. Analyzing and resolving Oracle errors and warnings, working with Oracle support. Responding to pager and resolving problems after normal duty hours. Using Trouble ticket system to update and receive tickets. Managing numerous databases with test and/or production data to facilitate testing. Reporting project activities and time. The databases being supported are high volume and large in size. Expertise in supporting Oracle RAC databases, ASM, query tuning, partitioning and overall performance tuning is a requirement.
