Your skills are needed to assist a large CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) manufacturer/distributor located in Somers, NY 10589. In this position you will function as a Senior Java/J2EE developer supporting Developer and will work on modifications to a Sales Commission system. This application integrates with Selling Servers to extract particular employee level sales/delivery data which is then used in the calculation of the weekly commission payment. Developer will take direction from internal Lead developer and will be responsible for analyzing, designing, coding, and unit testing changes. The selected candidate needs a strong (5-6 year) background in Java/J2EE application development. Activities will include: - Gathering requirements, designing, building and testing a user friendly interface for both the administrators and the end users of the application. (must be comfortable raising questions and issues where applicable and to engage in frank and candid technical discussions to quickly eliminate roadblocks and uncertainty) - Partnering with teams in Corporate Systems and Emerging Services to accurately interpret requirements for release enhancements. - Design, Develop and Test application release. - Participate in peer reviews, code reviews, test plan reviews and document test cases and results. - Provide technical suggestions and alternatives to enhance user experience within the parameters of the requirements.
