Job Title: Sr. SOA Architect Location: Buffalo, NY Duration: 9 months+ Need locals who can do F2F interview Description General Responsibilities The Senior Solution Architect will be responsible for providing technical solutions to a variety of enterprise wide business problems. The Senior Solution Architect will be accountable for analyzing and designing solutions to meet enterprise wide business requirements and guiding the implementation team to successful solution implementation. The ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including senior management, is essential. The Senior Solution Architect will be responsible for understanding the interdependencies of the enterprise landscape. Lead teams of solution architects, application developers and other IT resources. Specific Duties Provide day-to-day technical support to solution architects, application developers and other IT resources to solve problems, provide guidance and direction. Provide technical direction by developing/recommending alternatives and creative solutions that are both effective and efficient in cost and process. Gain approval and organizational commitment for systems, infrastructure and software plans from appropriate IT and business unit leaders. Make technology choices based on business requirements and information systems strategy, principles and structure. Evaluate work load and capacity of systems and provide insight during estimating processes. Be an active participant in the creation and adherence to standards and guidelines to ensure project quality. Create reusability into systems for other IT resources to utilize in their development efforts. Develop written specifications and documentation according to the engineering lifecycle that aid in development, use and support. Manage testing of all system functions. Ensure stability, integrity, availability, productivity and efficient operation of assigned systems. Maintain confidentiality and use only the minimum amount of protected health information (PHI) necessary to accomplish job related responsibilities. Safeguard all information in accordance with all Client and HIPAA, policies and regulations. Other duties as necessary Additional comments: Knowledge on Oracle, SQL Server, HP Exstream is preferred Experience with agile and waterfall methodology based development. Ability to navigate and work on multiple operating systems such as OS/400, AIX, or Windows. Advanced knowledge with integration tools and services using Java, along with web services technologies and tools (WSDL, SOAP, XML, MQ messaging, Enterprise Service Bus). Knowledge of health care business is preferred.
