Oracle Middleware Systems Administrator/Weblogic System Admin
Minneapolis, MN

The Oracle Middleware Systems Administrator will be responsible for
providing administration services for web and application servers
(Weblogic, SOA, AIA, OID and Tomcat) in virtual as well as physical
environments. The Middleware Administrator will be responsible for tuning,
load balancing and architecting environment for high availability and will
perform system integration and middleware administration of share
middleware environment.

Design, configuration, testing, and documentation of system architectures
in a mission critical environment
Additional support tasks to be performed include proactive and creative
problem solving, identification of potential issues, 24x7 monitoring,
recovery, preventative maintenance, diagnosing complex issues, and working
with various technology disciplines in troubleshooting activities
The WebLogic Systems Administrator coordinates activities within Corporate
Applications and other systems areas (Network Operations, Data Center
Operations, Help Desk, and Applications Development) in supporting the
analysis and recommendation of technical solutions and maintaining the
corporate application infrastructure
Install, configure, tune, and deploy WebLogic in a non-clustered and
clustered, J2EE environment, with Hardware Load Balancers for fail-over and
High Availability (HA)
Configure and deploy application code sets in various formats including
EAR, WAR, and JAR files
Manage Java Virtual Machine (JVM) settings and options including class
path, HEAP sizes, Java Argument configurations, and other system settings
Evaluate, test, and deploy software patches, fixes, and upgrades in
accordance with Automated Notification Reports (ANR) and testing procedures
used to notify end users of pending change in status / availability of
servers
Manage and configure database connections through JDBC data-sources and
JDBC pools

Certification of Oracle Weblogic Architecture or SOA is a must.
Expereince with suporting a three-tier (web, application and database) IT
infrastrucutre.
Knowledge of Oracle Fusion, BPEL, Oracle Webcenter, Oracle Web Portal, AIA,
OID, IIS, clustering and JD Edwards One World.
