This position will then research the solution and document the solution for the operations team to implement. Network Infrastructure Architect · Will be responsible for defining the technology architecture and future technology vision of the platforms · Responsible for ensuring that technical solutions align with the enterprise architecture principles including reducing complexity and adopting proven technical solutions to mitigate risk. · Must have a thorough and broad understanding of various technology platforms and be able to engage in discussions with technical subject matter experts and not be swayed in technical decisions. · Provides objective appraisals of technology and develops pattern based re-usable architecture artifacts including documenting key architecture decisions · Deep Infrastructure Architecture expertise of Distributed Database Systems, Network Architecture, Server and Storage Virtualization and Cloud computing. · Application Infrastructure knowledge of Performance Management, Desktop and Telephony Systems. Required Skills/Experience · Experience with Distributed Database Systems, Web Portals, SSO Identity and Access management, Network Architecture, Server and Storage Virtualization and Cloud computing, J2EE Middleware and ESB technologies, Performance Management, Desktop and Telephony Systems Modeling integration of applications and systems · Prior experience consulting on planning, migration and implementation issues for information technologies and related architectural concepts. · Understanding of emerging technologies · Ability to be vendor/product-neutral and maintain an objective perspective business knowledge · Ability to effectively convey the results of the architecture · Provide architecture requirements and blueprints to design teams and review the project designs per the governance process · Conduct Non-functional review of business requirements and produce system availability, scalability and maintain technical requirements for build/design Preferred Skills/Experience A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business/IT consulting roles within large corporations preferred. · Typically required to summarize and present findings to executive levels. A wide degree of creativity, independence, and latitude is expected. · Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills. · A high proficiency level in specific job related skills is required. · Demonstrate a strong sense of accountability for project commitments and be comfortable working in unstructured, dynamic team environments. · Excellent project management skills · Knowledge of a variety of current and emerging technologies · Ability to complete technical projects of great complexity on time and within budget.
