Ensure, where possible, that an automated approach is being taken to all aspects of the software build and management. Generate and maintain configuration management records for releases and software builds, and facilitate discussions and conflict resolution on build and release issues. Key Accountabilities: Ensure build and release processes and procedures are followed. Assess, plan and assist the product teams with the design of release packages prior to deployment into the environments. Produce build definitions for the generation of software which will have multiple software branches and versions of both bespoke software development and 3rd party vendor applications. Produce software builds and carry out fault diagnosis relating to build failures and documenting and the results. Support an agile and iterative approach to development, testing, build and release. Keep abreast of developments in software engineering and technologies. Required Qualifications: Five (5) or more years of experience as Build Engineer and experience working in build automation and continuous integration Four (4) or more years of experience in configuring and administering Team Foundation Server (TFS), including TFS 2012 Five (5) or more years of experience writing MS build scripts targeted to TFS server for build automation Five (5) or more years of experience customizing TFS work item templates to meet project needs Three (3) or more years of experience coding in VB.NET, C# or Java Three (3) or more years of experience working with MS SQL Server Three (3) or more years of experience working with IIS Preferred Qualification: Three (3) or more years of experience of working on large scale agile projects, and working in an environment which is running multiple concurrent Scrums. Three (3) or more years of experience of using Agile approaches such as SCRUM, TDD, User Stories, Release Planning, Retrospectives. A degree in Electronics, Physics, Computer Science or a related subject. Three (3) or more years of experience of working in a financial/banking environment would definitely be an advantage. Three or more years of experience of working on Enterprise scale technology solutions.
