*[email protected] <[email protected]> * *Title: Business Analyst Location: Bloomington, IL Duration: 6 Months* *Position Functions or Responsibilities: * A Business Analyst is held directly accountable for the state of the application(s) and processes and are responsible for every aspect of software releases and project assignments throughout the phases of the Software Development Lifecycle. A Business Analyst is primarily responsible for ensuring a match of the business requirements to technology solutions. The BA facilitates the architecture, development, and integration of the solution across multiple technologies and database platforms in accordance with client and industry standards. They are responsible for the execution of all change related processes. *Ideal candidate will have the following experience: *Eliciting requirements using tasks such as: facilitated workshops with business subject matter experts, interviews, document analysis, prototyping, and interface analysis - Specifying and analyzing business goals/requirements, functional requirements, system interface requirements, reporting requirements, data requirements, non-functional requirements and business rules - Leading/hosting large, cross-functional meetings to elicit requirements from subject matter experts and build consensus - Analyzing requirements from several functional areas to determine potential conflicts/other requirements that may exist in other areas - Performing business analysis on Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile/SCRUM projects - Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle (Agile experience preferred) - Proven ability to facilitate discussions and resolve conflicts - Ability to participate in Quality Assurance or User Acceptance Testing *Basic Qualifications:* - *Oracle Knowledge Management implementation experience* - Oraclee Knowledge Management functional and governance design experience - Exceptional communication, presentation, organization, and time management skills - Methodical, detail oriented, efficient, organized, resourceful, highly productive, a true self-starter - Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously under pressure is required - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - Excellent analytical and problem solving skills - Ability to interact positively and build relationships with employees at all levels of the organization - HP Service Manager tool experience (preferred) or equivalent experience/ability to learn - Ability to participate in various phases of testing (Execution of Plan, Design, Strategy, Coordination, Development, Quality Assurance and Execution) - Ability to produce high quality Project Deliverables - Ability to participate in release and implementation processes - Understanding of or exposure to the following project methodologies: - Test Driven Development - Waterfall - Agile/SCRUM - Knowledge of general regulatory compliance - Revision and Event Management experience and/or knowledge - Working knowledge of ITIL or equivalent experience (current version certification desired) - Execution of Request, Incident, Problem, and Change processes - Proficiency in MS Office Suite (SharePoint experience desired) *Job Level Specific Duties* • Analyzes business and user needs, documents requirements, and revises existing system logic difficulties. • Implements systems applications and tests end-user processes. • Creates / delivers correspondence, presentations, and other materials for end user training. • Responds to client inquiries involving application questions. • Develops customized queries and reports utilizing complex table matrices. • Interacts with clients, internal and external, acting as a key liaison between business and technology areas. • Documents business rules / functional requirements to support system enhancements. • Oversees external product vendors� performance and collaborates on future system enhancements. *Typical Years of Experience* • Typically requires 4-6 years relevant experience. *Minimum Education and Certifications* • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. *Skills* • Solid knowledge of system development methodology, project management and system architecture. Solid analytical / problem solving skills. • Ability to evaluate IT and business challenges from a broad perspective. • Strong influencing and excellent communication skills. Ability to translate between non-technical business users and technical IT resources. Strong client service attitude. • Strong organizational and time management skills. *Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions* • Ability to physically perform general office requirements. • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. • Significant travel including overnight domestic or international trips may be required.
