*Duration:*1 year *Please Reply to [email protected] <[email protected]>* *Required Skills:* Troubleshoot; Analysis for Root Causes for problems, ensure database availability, security and stability; performance tuning and optimization Must have experience with Z/OS DB2 V9 at minimum, DB2 V10 would be preferable. Self-motivated, Conscientious Provides expertise to Application programmer staff technical questions related to DB2 Manages and maintains data in all production and non-production DB2 (mainframe z/OS ) Handles DATA REFRESHES from production to test environments, based on user requirements Manages the maintenance of the production DB environments including backups, healthchecks, monitoring, capacity management, and upgrade QAs On-Call coverage required as back up to IBM coverage Solid understanding of a SDLC process Required Experience: • 5 years z/OS DB2 DBA - Experience background with large DB2 shop (daily CICS and DDF workload ), 7x24 environment • Experience with mainframe Application DB2 support such as: DB2 packages, DB2 threads, Application DB2 performance tuning ; familiar with DataStudio 4.1 and using the Visual Explain tool • Able to suggest best practices that fit within a SDLC environment • Strong z/OS DB2 object management experience, including partitioned tables, UTS, triggers and Stored Procedures • Experience with all DB2 utilities including but not limited to Back-up, Reorg, Recovery, Runstats, etc. • Performs performance tuning by analyzing database and OS performance and implementing tuning and optimization recommendations; • Manages the QA of upgrades ; must have experience in testing all software upgrades • Manages the design and distribution, performance, security, availability including High availability solutions and access requirements for large complex databases • Designs and develops physical layers of various databases making use of advanced features such as partitioning • Handles testing, reporting, back-up and restores Preferred Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science • 5 on DB2 V9 Z/os yrs of work experience • DB2 z/OS v9 at minimum • Experience with IBM ADMIN Tools, JCL, REXX , TSO, IBM PDTOOLS, ISPF, COBOL, Serina Changeman, CICS, DB2 Connect • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail Thanks & Regards Bhanu || Technical Recruiter || ALFA Services USA INC., 45W 34th Street Suite 801-2 ,New York, NY 10001 Tel No. 347-632-0123|| Fax No.(413)-375-4665 Email: [email protected] || Website:http://www.alfaservicesusa.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Companies Looking for IT Out Staffing & Recruitment" group.
