*Job :Network Engineer* *Location: Philadelphia, PA* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Please share your consultant resume to [email protected] <[email protected]> or please feel free to reach me **(972) 550-9346 EXT 213.* *Notes:* •This position supports the metro Ethernet product, will work with the business unit and sales teams on defining new customer requirements for the metroE product. •Will support sustaining engineering teams. •Troubleshooting of the metroE product. •LOTS of documentation. •Should have good QoS background, VLAN tagging experience, MPLS - Layer 2 VPN's. •Should have experience managing IP networks, and ideally would have come from a large ISP or supported a really big network (google, Microsoft). •Juniper/Cisco experience - - core ISP routers, not enterprise routers. •Certs not important, Bachelors preferred but not required. *Deescription:* This position will augment current NSD engineering activities. The ability of the candidate will determine their level of involvement and responsibilities. This position is for an advanced architect within the Network Service Design team, NSD. NSD works with other organizations within Comcast and external, to develop network connectivity designs for deployment. This process includes the following activities; network requirements gathering, collaboration with platform* owners and labs, documentation of solutions, & provide ongoing support from field trial and on through sustaining efforts by working with Sales, Market, Deployment, Test & Turn-up (TTU), CRAN, Commercial, Back Bone and OPS teams. The individual in this position needs to be able to work cross functionally throughout the organization in order to support network connectivity at the edge and through the network.
