Position:  IT Technical Rules Writer

*Location:  **Irving, TX*

*Duration:  6 Months*

*Summary:*

The IT Rules Writer is responsible for writing and enforcing the business
policies of a given enterprise. Utilizing expert business logic, they must
develop a comprehensive understanding of the rules structure and how data
moves between systems. Conduct analysis to identify errors and develop
solutions that are consistent with stated requirements. Communicate system
design/abilities and/or limitations to Business Partners and Project Teams
Support production users to resolve eligibility and pricing issues. Ensure
on-time delivery of all development projects.



*Responsibilities:*

·         Examine, analyze and interpret functional requirements to define
and develop structure of ruleset, executable flow of rules and technical
rules.

·         Review business requirements to identify problems and developing
solutions in order to document rules for desired policy.

·         Conduct interviews and analysis to estimate development time.

·         Develop rules for eligibility and pricing requirements in OPUS
Admin and FAP systems.

·         Promote system development to test/production environments.

·         Execute and validate system development/functionality for
projects on a pre and post production basis to ensure all requirements are
fulfilled.

·         Collaborate with other development teams to identify, define,
troubleshoot and resolve system issues.

·         Assist in design of system enhancements while monitoring user
experience, system performance and maintenance implications.

·         Respond to helpdesk ticket issues in a timely manner and
communicate with users when needed.



*Required Skills:*

·         3 to 5 years’ experience in Mortgage Origination processes and
associated Mortgage Lines of Business. Must have an in-depth understanding
of Mortgage Originations systems.

·         Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, including MS EXCEL

·         Experience in XML data analysis and programming interpretation

·         Must have strong Data Analysis skills

·         Excellent ability to analyze and assess business needs and
cross-systems impacts.

·         Experience with TMO, Overture products (Mozart and Maestro),
and/or LPS

·         Understanding of mortgage product eligibility and pricing
concepts

·         Must have strong organization skills (keeps notes, managed
development estimates, tracks changes for future reference)

·         Understand tasks and can provide testing guidance if needed

·         Willingness to learn (so much of Lending Space is still a black
hole; willing to dig in and explore all that the system does and how we can
master it to keep as much in house as possible)

·         Ability to teach/delegate tasks ( the Lending Space is a more
that one person job; needs to be able to set another "helper" or co-worker
up for success)

·         Able to speak "business" (can read matrices, understands pricing)

·         4 year college degree in relevant field.
