Position : Java Technical Consultant Location :Waltham, MA Duration: 12 months *Interview :Telephonic/ Skype* * Candidate with Financial background preferred.* *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* - Responsible for fee-based onsite and remote custom installation, configuration and customization of complex enterprise data-centric software applications based on advanced JEE (Java Enterprise) and RDBMS (Relational Database) solutions. - Customize web application (JEE) code and optimize third party software (MS SQL Server 2012, Oracle 10) performance utilizing hardware virtualization, clustering as well as advanced enterprise database tuning techniques such as database partitioning. - Code software customization to integrate JEE WizSentri applications into customer’s enterprise system including, but not limited to integration with single sign on system (SSO), LDAP or Active Directory (AD) with multi domain support. - Author Technical Whitepapers, FAQ, Best Practices Guides, independently or with customer IT staff. - Research independently and work with WKFS Technical SMEs (Database Administrators, System Administrators and Hardware Specialists) to create optimized, multi-servers, clustered high availability enterprise systems. - Build proof of concept (POC) solutions utilizing JEE, SQL RDBMS and WizSentri technology. - Build custom reports using enterprise reporting systems (SSRS,MS RSS, SQR, P/L SQL, T-SQL or similar) - Write and optimize (knowledge of RDBMS tuning required) complex SQL queries. - Utilize expertise gained during specific client deployment to advice Product Managers with new features design (Write business and technical specifications) - Test and reproduce in a custom environment software defects and communicate finding to Q/A and Development teams. Collaborate with Q/A team in creation of regression test matrix. - Create innovative solutions to overcome out-of the box product limitation and inherent software impediments. - Provide expert technical diagnosis for escalated tech support issues with WizSentri enterprise products. - Work with Senior Regulatory Consultants to document current bank processes and recommend best practices - Identify additional revenue opportunities for WKFS products and services, and improvements to customer processes. Act as liaison with appropriate bank personnel to take advantage of additional billable opportunities. - The TC will operate under general supervision with a great degree of independence. - Light to moderate travel may be required. *REQUIREMENTS AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:* - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, EE or other relevant field - 8+ years’ experience in customer-facing data-centric and server-side software development role utilizing Java enterprise technology (JEE), including SPRING, HIBERNATE, MVC and other Java frameworks. 8+ years’ experience as a database developer working with RDBMS SQL Server database P/L SQL or T-SQL Programming SQL query optimization Relational Database Design Principles (data normalization, triggers) Custom Reporting (SQL, SSRS or RSS) Database Server Administration (database design, optimization, storage management, high availability and clustering) - 5+ years’ experience Web and Application Server Deployment and administration (Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere) Networking, LDAP, Active Directory and OS (Windows Server and Enterprise Linux – RHEL) Experience working on projects following AGILE methodology Experience working as a billable consultant in Professional Services delivering fee-based services Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to quickly learn new software and hardware technology Excellent written and oral communication skills required including active listening and ability to clearly articulate solutions to the business customers. *DOMAIN EXPERTISE* Experience working with banking software / systems (CORE systems, WIRE and ACH systems), with associated knowledge of industry best practices a plus.
