Position: Windows OS Support Engineer *Location: Mettawa, IL* *Duration: 6 months+* *Pay Rate: $30-40/hr all inclusive MAX* *Interview process will be phone then in person* *Summary:* Windows Engineer is responsible for the development and delivery of client’s Managed Services offerings. Engineers apply the necessary technical breadth to providing top level technical support services and operational leadership, including problem resolution, and technical change implementation for Managed Services clients. *Responsibilities:* · Provide remote Windows OS engineering support for Managed Service Clients. · Understand and Deliver Managed Service offerings as outlined in the Service Descriptions and Service Catalog · Primarily responsible for providing top-level technical support, including problem resolution, technical change implementation, telephone and one-on-one technical support within defined service level agreements for clients. · Performs scopes of work as detailed in implementation plans assigned (system builds, test plans, documentation, training, etc). · Understand and follow the processes and procedures defined in the ManS Standard Operating Procedures manual (SOP). · Provide innovative technical solutions to complex Windows hardware/software problems. · Provide detailed and effective communication to internal and external customers · Clearly and concisely articulate problems and solutions for issues to clients both over the phone, via e-mail and in person. · Member of on-call rotation to provide 24 X 7 support to critical systems and ensure availability objectives are met. · Provide support to Service Account Managers, Project Managers and product developers. · Review assigned service requests daily, following up and providing status updates to clients; ensure data pertaining to the status of service requests is entered into the problem tracking systems accurately and promptly to provide an up-to-date picture of service delivery status and backlog. *Required Skills* · 5 - 7 years of engineering experience. · Expertise in Windows support o Support back up failures o Memory issues o Server support o New system set ups o · One to three years of large-scale, enterprise-class planning, design, implementation and support experience. · Strong knowledge of storage concepts; including SAN switches, NetApp, EMC, IBM, and Brocade. · Working knowledge with EMC or NetApp proprietary storage applications · Strong experience architecting large enterprise environments. · Basic level technical certifications or equivalent. · Hands-on experience in a large Data Center environment · Must have experience providing remote engineering support · Significant Expert in operating system tuning. · Significant experience in root cause analysis of operating systems issues · Working knowledge of backup clients. · Working knowledge of server hardware · Hands-on experience in a large Data Center environment · ITIL Foundations Certification Preferred · Virtualization experience a plus · Must have good time management skills and be able to meet rigid and urgent assignment schedules. · ITIL Foundations Certification preferred Thanks & Regards Priscilla Karan - Sr. IT Recruiter Email:[email protected] Phone: 732-356-8008 Extn: 307 Fax: 732-356-8009, 609-237-2352- efax *Empower Professionals, Inc* Address: 100 Franklin Square Dr, Suite 104, Somerset, NJ - 08873 Branch Offices: Hoffman Estates, IL and Madison, WI *Certified NJ and NY Minority Business Enterprise (NMSDC)* www.empowerprofessionals.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Companies Looking for IT Out Staffing & Recruitment" group.
