Good Morning, Please go through the Job Description & Skill set and send me your Best Consultants along with their contact details to *[email protected] <[email protected]>.* To reach me Please ring up to* 781-544-4799 * *EXT 727* *PRIORITY FOR LOCALS or NEAR BY* Role: *Mainframe Tester* Location: *Merrimack ,NH* Interview: *Phone & Face to Face* Duration: *12 Months* + *Primary Responsibilities* The primary responsibilities of this role will focus on developing test strategies, plans and manual and automated test cases for each project in this space. ** *Responsibilities include:* - Working seamlessly with highly skilled, deeply technical development team to develop valid test approaches and scenarios. - Creating automated testing solutions that can be used widely throughout the QA organization with a focus on reuse. - Ability to make recommendations for process improvements and drive the ideas through to implementation - Review requirements/design documentation and develop and execute of Test Strategy, Test Plans, Schedules, Test Execution, QA Artifacts such as test cases - Communicate plans, project status, project risks and project metrics to all levels of the project team - including our supporting teams as applicable. - Be an advocate for Quality throughout the project life cycle. Adhere to QA Standards and Best Practices. - Participate in monthly Production install validation activities and off-cycle prod validations as necessary. ** *Education and Experience* *:* - Degree in Computer Science from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience - 5+ years of Software Quality Assurance or Development experience - Demonstrated ability to execute QA and testing initiatives - Good knowledge on JCL, FileAid, ISPF, DB2 and SPUFI is required - Java, JavaScript, HTML experience is required ** *Skills and Knowledge* *:* - Strong Functional and Mainframe testing experience. - Good knowledge of Mainframe environment including COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, SPUFI and FILEAID - Basic knowledge of Unix. - Skills which would be considered a plus are Sahi, QTP/UFT, Webfocus familiarity, scripting languages such as Perl - Experience with CI and CD processes a plus - Solid understanding of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning - Strong technical skills including an understanding of relational databases with knowledge of SQL - Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fluid organization where priorities shift to respond to changing business needs, ability to multi-task is a must - Excellent collaboration and influencing skills with solid oral and written skills - Practical understanding of Brokerage businesses a plus - Proficient in the software development life-cycle – Agile methodology a plus - Ability to work in a matrix environment across multiple locations and functions - Must be able to act as a QA Project Team Leader, directing and managing the overall testing effort of more junior QA Test Engineers, on large, complex projects across a globally distributed team as well as an individual contributor - Must be able to work independently, with minimal instruction - Strong attention to detail demonstrated by ability to follow and develop specific, outlined and detailed procedures ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ With Thanks & Regards Samuel Carothers Talent Acquisition Manager.
