Senior Application Performance Testing Engineer The position in on-site in Albuquerque, NM. Position Description This position requires expert application performance testing services. The application performance testing engineer will be required to leverage a suite of Riverbed tools to perform performance testing tasks. The application performance testing engineer must have the ability to perform performance analysis and provide recommendations for application performance improvements The candidate must have a minimum of ten (10) years of application performance testing experience. The candidate will be expected to perform the following activities: 5+ years experience with Riverbed APM tools for detailed performance analysis: Transaction Analyzer, AppResponse, AppInternals, Transaction Trace Warehouse, and WebAnalyzer 5+ years experience and familiarity with Riverbed Product APIs, including ability to construct custom Data Adapters in AppInternals, Custom Search Analysis Operators in Transaction Trace Warehouse, and custom reports 5+ years experience and proficiency with Performance Testing tools and ability to record, edit, and parameterize performance testing scripts 5+ years scripting experience in various environments, including bash and python for customized analysis capabilities 5+ years experience with knowledge and ability to create dashboards and integrate directly with Riverbed metrics sources (NetCollector, ARX, Profiler) Performance Testing of applications that may require custom scripting; Analysis of complex application performance data from multiple sources; Ability to translate and present highly complex application performance data in reports that are provided to application owners; Provide assistance to Problem and Incident Management to ensure timely resolution of application faults; Advanced troubleshooting of FS applications in production and test environments using Riverbed AppInternals Xpert, and other Riverbed tools; Administer Riverbed tools to ensure that they comply with all FS and government security standards; Provide knowledge transfer and in depth training to FS personnel of Riverbed tools, and strategies regarding best practices of implementation; Provide Knowledge transfer and training of performance and load testing best practices, and implementations; Provide troubleshooting of Riverbed tools, and report all faults, issues, and errors to Riverbed Technology Inc. to ensure all reported issues are resolved in the most appropriate manner; Develop advanced monitoring metrics using Riverbed tools for FS Enterprise Operations monitoring program. Investigate reports of poor or diminished application performance and provide analysis of issues Create custom dashboards to demonstrate impact of application issues Replicate performance issues in Pre-Production environment through load testing to determine plan of actions for remediation Required Skills Must have In-depth knowledge and experience using Riverbed APM tools for detailed performance analysis: Transaction Analyzer, AppResponse, AppInternals, Transaction Trace Warehouse, and WebAnalyzer Must have In-depth knowledge and experience with application performance testing Experience performing testing tasks, including test case development and execution Experience performing application performance monitoring Experience installing, configuring and using Riverbed application performance tools (5 years). Have strong customer communication and documentation skills.
