Project Manager (2 positions)

*Summary:*

The position is accountable for successfully managing Infrastructure &
Operations (I&O) project assignments and related resource and financial
management activities. This role will report directly to the I&O PMO team
and follow existing project and program governance practices.

The need is for two project managers, one each, in the Server & Storage and
Network towers of the Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) organization. Each
of these towers have a set of 2-3 projects that require technical project
management. Candidate will be stepping in and managing projects
simultaneously with multiple initiatives, approximately 4-7 months in life
cycle from initial startup, reaching out to sponsors, engaging
participants, reviewing requirements, using PMI methodology.



*Responsibilities:*

·         Follow existing PMI methodology instituted at client. Align
project management assignments with required ITIL processes, i.e., Change
and Release management.

·         Work with the I&O PMO to define project scope and success
criteria for assigned projects.

·         Manage IT projects, initiation through closeout, as assigned and
within the stated parameters of cost, quality and benefit realization.

·         Provide constructive, two-way communication between project teams
and PMO management.

·         Ensure alignment with I&O PMO through regular milestone updates.



*Required Skills:*

·         7-10 years of recent IT infrastructure job experience.

·         3-5 years of project management experience.

·         Experience working in a large geographically dispersed
organization

·         Experience leading cross functional projects against demanding
timelines.

·         Experience working with virtual teams.

·         Ability to lead, collaborate, challenge and influence peers.

·         Passion for project based execution and process improvement.

·         Must have the ability to drive and maintain accountability for
commitments.

·         Can execute responsibilities in an efficient, focused manner.

·         Plan, implement and continuously improve processes to meet
timelines, budget and performance objectives.

·         Monitor progress and direct others to achieve desired outcomes.

·         Strong leadership skills with ability to impact individual
project direction through influence and collaboration.

·         Highly proactive and result-oriented with proven track record of
success in all phases of project delivery.

·         Broad technical background and experiences to anticipate, address
and mitigate issues early and throughout the project cycle.

·         Ability to adapt to changes in the original project plan. Can
effectively communicate changes or delays to team members and key
stakeholders.

·         Adept at working productively with all I&O teams, including
external vendors & suppliers.

·         Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to
communicate accurately and concisely to all levels within the company
ranging from team members to Senior Leadership.

·         Demonstrated ability to establish and communicate work load
prioritization within and between project teams.

·         Demonstrated sense of urgency and decisiveness. Takes prompt
action to accomplish goals. Proactively attempts to influence events rather
than passively accept outcomes.

·         Independently, and working with others, able to generate new,
innovative ideas to improve business value and reduce costs.

·         Demonstrated high level of curiosity, creativity, and strong
problem solving skills.

·         Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

·         PMI (PMP) Certification a plus

·         Project management experience with networking and server
environments very beneficial.

·         Oversee the coordination/tracking/handoff of the workload to
other stakeholders.
