Telecom is huge plus. - Excellent understanding of packet-based networking principles and related protocols such as TCP/IP, USP, RTP, MPLS, RIP, OSPF, BGP4, SNMP. - Hands-on expertise with setting up, configuring and trouble shooting networks including the network elements like DHCP, DNS servers routers and firewalls. - Proficient in use of trouble shooting aids of the types of EtherPeek, Wireshark, Sniffers etc. - Working knowledge of HFC architectures. - Good understanding of Docsis specifications. - Intimate familiarity with RF circuitry design principles, RF modulation and RF transmission techniques. - Experienced in use of RF and optical measurement equipment (network analyzers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, QAM analyzers). - Methodical problem solving skills and ability to lead small teams in joint trouble shooting efforts of complex problems.
