Please find the requirement below and let me know your interest.. *POSITION* *Build Release Engineer* *Alpharetta, GA* *Phone/Skype* *18+ Months* *Summary:* Engineer will work with and support multiple Scrum teams in a Java Web Environment. This engineer will be involved in supporting our multi-environment product release with our CI process to automate the build and deployment of application changes to a group of web based applications. This role will be interacting with development, operations and support teams on daily basis and must communicate well. Jenkins required. This client is in the process of rearchitecting an application to be more modular and automating build and deployment process so after 18 months there will be no need for after hours calls. This is very front edge - they are in the top 12% of all enterprise environments and this will put them in the top 5% *Education/Experience * - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required - 5 years of experience required *Duties Include: * - Create and Maintain build processes using Maven and Jenkins. - Maintain existing delivery automation shell and perl scripts. - Work closely with project managers, developers, and test engineers during application launch phase of the software development life cycle. - Successfully drive the launch process for new product releases ensuring on-time delivery. - Manage release schedules and coordinate day-to-day release activities for multiple applications in Linux Test environments. - Coordinate with operations staff to create roll out and roll back plans for production releases. - Support applications during roll out of new releases to production. - Perform root cause analysis, practice risk mitigation, and moderate conversations between multiple stakeholders. - Participate in process improvement initiatives for the Release Management process. *Required Skills/Qualifications: * - BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience. - 5 years of progressive work-related experience in similar environment. - 2-4 years of experience in release/configuration management. - 2-4 years of experience using continuous integration (CI) tools such as Hudson/Jenkins, - 2-4 years of experience with source code version control systems such as GIT or Subversion - Proficient with build tools such as Maven. - Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment. - Experience writing UNIX shell scripts - Experience working with Java Applications is highly desired. - Excellent problem solving skills. - Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. - Capacity for attending to detail. *Ideal candidates will have (preferred, but not required, skills): * - Experience with one or more of the following, tcServer, apache, webSphere, jboss, Java Service Wrapper *Thanks and Regards,* *Shilpi Bisht* *Sr. Technical Recruiter* *IDC Technologies* *1851 McCarthy Boulevard, Suite 116|Milpitas, CA , USA, 95035* *408-459-1965 [Direct] I [email protected] <[email protected]>* *www.idctechnologies.com* <http://www.idctechnologies.com> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Companies Looking for IT Out Staffing & Recruitment" group.
