Software Tools: CICS, DB2, Websphere, IDMS JCL,SAM, WSIM (Workload Simulator) Scripting *Skills:* · Perform test applications developed using Customer Information Control System (CICS). · Create and update WSIM scripts and jobs that use Job Control Language (JCL) using knowledge of DB2 / database, IDMS and VSAM based data stores. - · Manage Time Sharing Option/Interactive System Productivity Facility (TSO/ISPF) Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM) files and utilize IBM utilities to create and update JCL procedures in support of the mainframe performance testing, restructuring and maintenance of data including the file integrity of all data. - - · Modify and install new WSIM scripts on the mainframe platform. - - · Update and create WSIM scripts and modify associated JCL.Execute tasks to support WSIM testing on daily basis. *Scope of Task:* The objective of this task is to: - · Perform test applications developed using Customer Information Control System (CICS). - - · Create and update WSIM scripts and jobs that use Job Control Language (JCL) using knowledge of DB2 / database, IDMS and VSAM based data stores. - - · Maintain the integrity of SSA’s production environment via performance testing. - - · In support of the task, the contractor shall perform activities such as those described in the sub-tasks below. *Sub-Task:* Performance Testing of Programmatic and Systems Software *Purpose:* Test programmatic and systems software being deployed to production. *Activities:* - · In accordance with DIET software release schedules: - - · Performance test application code in the integration (DIET 1 or 2) region that is scheduled to be released into the Programmatic Processing Facility (PPF) integration, training and production environments. - - · Manage Time Sharing Option/Interactive System Productivity Facility (TSO/ISPF) Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM) files and utilize IBM utilities to create and update JCL procedures in support of the mainframe performance testing, restructuring and maintenance of data including the file integrity of all data. - - · Develop, analyze and maintain JCL used for performance testing, with a focus on WSIM scripts for mainframe applications code on the mainframe z/OS platform. - - · Modify and install new WSIM scripts on the mainframe platform. - - · Update and create WSIM scripts and modify associated JCL. - - · Execute tasks to support WSIM testing on daily basis. - - · Document changes to the WSIM scripts and software within 2 days of successful implementation. - - · Recommend ways to streamline and update the performance testing process. *Sub-Task:* Data Management of Programmatic and Systems Software Support *Purpose:* Test performance of programmatic and systems software. *Activities:* - · In accordance with software release schedules: - - · Secure updated test plans from developers for each application moving into production. - - · Document, update, and implement test plans. - - · Review all change records to ensure proper documentation of change, per the SDLC, and recordation in an appropriate format. - - · Review progress of change records to ensure timely migration to / installation in the appropriate Integration environment. - - · Report testing progress to the Task Manager. - - · Attend appropriate coordination meetings including, Initial Planning Meetings (IPM) and regular Division Forecast meetings. - - · Validate the accuracy of the Agency’s Online Software Release Form (OSRF). - - · Collaborate with all branches within the division and respective testing individuals to ensure migration of workloads into appropriate Integration test environments per agreed upon timelines. - - · Develop test data to support mainframe performance testing for mainframe-based applications. - - · Develop test data to support manual testing for mainframe based applications. - - · Using knowledge of VSAM, IDMS and DB2 data stores, the contractor shall develop a process to manage data requirements for various mainframe applications. - - · Create a schedule for development of a Requirements Management process.
