As *Developer* you will be · Responsible to Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs utilizing software packages considered. · Responsible for designing software or customizing software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency · Review and approve modifications to existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. · Work as a developer on a small focused team creating systems supporting telemetry registration, subscriptions and transnational history of Caterpillar's machine fleet. · Work along side other small teams creating similar systems with different machine fleet data sets. · Review and approve the design and development of software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. · Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration. · Counsel customers about software system design and maintenance. · Counsel systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. · Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. · Supervise the work of programmers, technologists and technicians and other engineering and scientific personnel. *Your typical day* will be At desk writing code. 3 or 4 bi-weekly meetings *Requirements* • MUST HAVE 8-10+ years overall experience • Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent training required. • 6-8 years related experience (in development) required. C# and Azure required (2-3 years of experience; internship experience included) • Java a plus but not required. • Must have Microsoft Azure, C# and RESTful web services experience, • Collaborate with a team of developers creating Web Applications and API's supporting Telematics service layer. • Responsible for application design, development, and automated testing of C# and Java code. • Work with a development teams and other infrastructure specialist such as data architects and web developers. • Experience with RESTful web services and Azure are required.
