Client: K-12 *Location*: Herndon VA *Duration: *6+ months *Title:* Software Developer (Oracle Application Express) *Description:* As a Senior Developer – Oracle Application Express You will, • Maintain a key Business Application implemented using Oracle Application Express 5.0 • Evaluate, Estimate, Design, Implement and Document feature requests from stakeholders for above specified Application. • Collaborate with cross functional team of Architects, Developers, DBAs, Testers and Business stakeholders as part of the SDLC life cycle • Perform Bug fixes based on backlog. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field AND • Expert level (6+ years) skills with Oracle’s Application Express Framework APEX 5.0 or above and Oracle 10g/11g OR Equivalent combination of education and experience. • Strong Oracle database development experience including SQL, PL/SQL, packages, procedures, functions, performance tuning, SQL Loader, etc. • Demonstrated experience in Database/APEX Performance Tuning. • Experience with Oracle database development, including advanced SQL and PL/SQL. • Strong ability to write efficient SQL queries, debug PL/SQL Code. • Experience in configuring n-tier APEX applications and Security configurations in APEX. • Strong knowledge of HTML4/5, JavaScript, Ajax, CSS, XML and JSON. • Experience with JQuery JavaScript library and Experience in using Object Oriented Design Techniques. • Solid understanding of the Oracle database and Ability to reverse engineer code. • Experience in exporting and deploying Oracle APEX Applications. • Ability to adhere to coding standards and use Oracle best practices for APEX design and development. • Experience in dealing with cross browser issues. • Experience with issue tracking and change control tools, including JIRA and Subversion. • Experience with working in an agile software development environment. • Ability to work independently and Ability to pay strict attention to detail. • Strong communication skills and problem solving skills.
