In their San Ramon Software Center they are looking for the following. The rate is open and this will go 12 months and possibly convert to full time. About the role: • Be part of the team who are building core big data solutions such as Data Lake, Blockchain & Telemetry type applications. • Stretch your expertise in building the platform that will serve huge streams of cross-industrial data, producing analytical outputs that will result in helping industries in improving efficiencies & make significant financial gains. Must have skills (please tell me about this experience briefly when submitting a resume) • Hands on Experience in operationizing any Hadoop Distribution ( e.g CHD, Horton works , MapR etc ) using Bare Metal as well as virtual environments ,Public and Private Clouds (AWS,Azure) • Hands on experience in automating Big Data deployments using Mesos , Kubernetees etc . • Hands on experience using Chef , Puppet , Terraform and other similar frameworks • Hands on Experience using Linux/Unix based operating systems and building pipeline solutions Nice to have skills • Multiple project experience • 8-10 years of IT experience • Experience using container technologies e.g Docker . • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly. • Proven ability to work cross functionally to deliver appropriate resolution of technical, procedural and operational issues • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Adopt a FastWorks mindset to support Business data and analytics projects • Help drive a best-in-class data engineering practice that will be leveraged across company • Participates in setting strategy and standards through data architecture and implementation leveraging big data and analytics tools and technologies • Engineers structured and unstructured data from source systems to fit business needs • Direct experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls and content filtering • Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods • Experience designing secure networks, systems and application architectures • Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies and methods • Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures • Ability to read and use the results of mobile code, malicious code. -- Thanks & Regards, SR.
