Tim Pritlove has been one of the early citizens of the Internet's Global Village and has engaged in technology and telecommunications since 1984 and worked as a programmer,
system administrator and technology consultant.

He joined the Chaos Computer Club (CCC) and became a hacker community activist, media artist and radio host. For a decade he has been the organizing of the annual Chaos Communication Congress, one of the world's most important hacker events and founded the Chaos Communication Camp, an international outdoor extravaganza for open-minded people that served as an initiating force for the worldwide Hackerspaces movement. He joined University of Arts Berlin (UdK) in 2000 as artistic-scientific assistant and founded and coordinated Project Blinkenlights, an international media art collective of hackers that pioneered interactive media facade installations in Berlin, Paris and Toronto and created
one of the most recognized art pieces of that time ("Blinkenlights").

Since 2005 he has been spearheading the German Podcasting scene by creating his own
independent media network named Metaebene Personal Media and engaging in new
forms of interview and talk radio formats on the Internet. He participates in workshops on
new media activism and coordinates a podcast developer community.
