This isn't your best day on this list. First I catch you and Skip in no uncertain tems telling people who disagree with you not to post here, and despite that being in writing, you then deny that's what you meant, when in fact its exactly what you wrote.
As of for the Boardwalk - it was Fishman that built it. The fact that the City paid for it with financing from Fishman by a credit against the sale of buildings means he not only did the actual building, he temorarily paid for it. I'm not sure how you fail to put this in the category of something "Fishman did" when there was no one else but Fishman involved. Actually I can understand - you dislike him so much you refuse to credit him anything. As for the materials used, blame your liberal envormental tree- hugger friends. The last time a portion of the boardwalk was built stronger wood was used, but there was a frenzy over the wood being from the rain-forest. The new material used was used to appease them. Now, aren't you glad I explained the boardwalk to you? As for the condos, Fishman is the developer. He is the guy with the contract with the City to get them built. The fact that he uses sub- developers for the construction of certain sites makes him no less the developer. He is the one that got the approval process through the many levels of governement, which as I prey you know, is a function of land development. The sub-deveolpers contract out further to other subcontractors. Do you think Hovnanian is out there banging nails himself? So where do you artificially draw the line at who gets to be called "a developer?" Is it the youngest, newest carpenter if he does the most manual labor? Of course not. Truth is Larry is the developer, who contracts out to others, who will in turn contract out to more others, and so on. Larry is the guy ultimately with the contract with the City and approvals from CAFRA, so it is appropriate to call him the developer - he has the contractual responsibility to get it done. You won't credit him because you dislike him so. --- In [email protected], "dfsavgny" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > --- In [email protected], "bluebishop82" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > wrote: > > Did you miss the new boardwalk and condominiums being built at the > > beach? > > > No. The boardwalk was paid for by the city with credits against the > cost from the purchase of our waterfront buildings.
