My Father worked @ the Asbury Circle HoJo.....The Berkeley, Empress and
Harbour Island Spa. My Grandfather probably worked @ the HoJo on the circle.
Accounting/night auditors. My Father was on duty the night "Little Pussy"
was snuffed out in West End. It was quite the story when he got home. My
Grandfather was shot in 1971 by a robber @ the Empress. He wouldn't hand
over the cash and the creep blasted him in the leg. He died in 1974 from the
wound that never healed. Asbury was sliding downhill fast @ that time. I
took leave from the U.S.A.F. to attend the funeral. Gave me a chance to get
Bruce's new album and take it back to North Dakota. Already had Greetings
and WIESS. That was the only redeeming factor during my leave. Met B.B. King
@ U.N.D. in Fargo right after my return to base and told him about Bruce who
he already knew. That was cool.
