`when visitor's do venture into town for it doesn't help that the local curmudgeon sits and bad mouths the city and everything it's doing. those ladies from Rumson are not likely to return anytime soon..."'
Shucks Joe, I didn't realize you cared. However, when eavesdropping it would behoove you to get it right. The `ladies' asked if Asbury was finally going to make it. I said "Cookman, Mattison and Main were well on their way, the waterfront will probably require another shakeout." I understand your need to keep your head firmly tucked up/in the sand, reality is scary; however, when sub developers fail to get out of the ground 8 months after breaking, in a market this hot, you wonder why. I'm convinced they're waiting for The Fish to get off his ass and do something, anything to suggest this is more than a spec deal. Sadly for Asbury, Larry hasn't a clue. By the way, the `ladies' expressed great delight with Ole'; I'll bet you $50.00 they return with friends who they'll tell of the experience and "they tell two friends" ... and "they tell two friends." --- In [email protected], Joe D'Andrea <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > At 4:17 AM +0000 5/20/05, Skip Bernstein wrote: > >...Asbury's a cul-de-sac, with limited purchasing power, limited parking > >and streets that frighten the greater market area; > > And when visitor's do venture into town for -- oh I don't know -- a birthday lunch with Mom and friends, it doesn't help that the local curmudgeon sits next to them at the restaurant and bad mouths the city and everything it's doing. When something like that happens those ladies from Rumson are not likely to return anytime soon... and you can believe "they tell two friends" ... and "they tell two friends" ... and "they tell two friends." ~joe Yahoo!
