Asbury Park has the finest Carousel House in the country, part of the
Casino Complex.
Bill Sitar, at my urging, purchased the original Palace Carousel
(along with the Schnitzler Wheeel) in Mississippi and returned it to
NJ with the intent to restore the Palace.
With that option destroyed, we measured the ride and determined that
it will fit in the Casino Carourel House.
Of course such an obvious 'redevelopment' project will certainly be
poo-pooed by the powers that be.
What a shame - more wasted potential to capitalize on a unique
identity.
