I joined, but have to examine how best to use it.  Other than  networking for 
business people, realtors, landlords, tenants, etc., what are you  hoping to 
see happen there regarding AP?
 
Social networking doesn't seem to be a primary purpose.  If I wanted  to 
expand my dabbling in tutoring and mentoring, is it the best venue in your

I avoided it, til I started looking at economy  and was curious where 
some my ex corporate bosses were and  others.

It's another way of self-promotion - or networking for older  folks. 

There's even attorneys from our area on linkedin, a city  manager or two 
and plenty  more.
