So, where are our team members? Honestly, we only need a few at this point: One person to investigate whether or not code violations have been issued (all over the City), one person to get the current zoning of the properties and one person to go to a Council meeting. The rest of us need to make official complaints to the code enforcement department (and maybe the City Manager?) Violations either cause compliance or fines - even sometimes jail time. Remember, the City needs money. If our pal Werner can do jail time and pay $19k in fines, these other violators should do the same. I have pursued the clean-up of the lot behind the Empress Hotel. Whom else is pursuing anything else; or are we still simply complaining to each other?
