Werner - during that time, didn't the Greeks come to the rescue of the city
with a loan for some kind....
AP and many other cities are on the brink. I've said it before - AP is really
bankrupt - in the 30's, 50's etc....
Someone said the other day of a news story how way back when Michigan (maybe
1880's) solved their financial problems with raising property taxes - by 800%.
Look at the budget - look how much accumulated sick time you ahve and go from
there.
Towns have to merge - especially one horse towns and towns that can't afford to
own a horse. Do you need state snow plows that have to cross over county roads
to plow that cross over local towns?
There are several functions that seem simply to merge - on the state level.
Tax collection being one.
