Cookman ave isn't the mall. Everyone has their own hours and some businesses
can't stay open the hours. I see cookman ave as more a weekend "stop" to walk
around - kind of like the boardwalk. No real destination must stops.
I've posted this before - if I'm showing someone a property for sale or lease -
I ask them what they sell. Then I ask have they been in business before. I ask
them what they did before.
Then if it's noon on a Thursday or a Saturday and they ask me what I think -
good chance I would tell them to pay more rent for a higher traffic location -
depending on what they are trying to sell. Also remind them to have an internet
site or set up shop at the flea market 0- no prestige (unless or know others
who do extremely well at the flea markets - minimal table rental, no heat,
electric etc).
You close when you can't afford to pay the bills, let alone a salary for
yourself.
Instead of throwing the snow out in the street, higher a guy with a trailer or
wheelbarrel and some local kids have them shovel the snow on the trailer and
dump it some place else. But when you have a 15 foot wide storefront and don't
bother to knock down a small pile of snow...
So what's everyone doing this time to be prepared??
