Dear NJ state government. Please either close the Asbury Park school system and fold it in with others or take over the district completely and clean house. When is enough enough already? Asbury Park - the city - has come so far. Asbury Park - the school system - has gone backwards.
And Redmond Palmer? Really??? The guy who thought attending a basketball game was more important than attending a board meeting for a critical vote is now President of the Board itself? And he's complaining about the decision made as a direct result of his incompetence? Really??? All this fun folks, and the board also voted on an increased budget that will raise taxes slightly. So lets see. Significant decline in enrollment.. Check. Savings from closing a school.. Check. Horrific school performance that's not getting better.. Check Increase the budget. I wonder whose getting a check. --- In [email protected], "oOoOoOo" <mark07712@...> wrote: > > Move to switch Asbury Park school board attorneys blocked > Administrator files harassment complaint > > ASBURY PARK With his godfather and newly appointed board member John Morton > representing the fifth vote needed to assume power on the city school board, > member Remond Palmer made a move Wednesday night to switch board attorneys. > > But Palmer met up with a more powerful force, the state fiscal monitor > assigned to the district to oversee all finances, hiring and firing.
