John D'Esposito. He developed the event to the point where, I understand, LIVE
NATION bought him out. John then worked for Live Nation. He became
disillusioned with the major promoters attempts however to mainstream the show,
distancing themselves from the original alternative concept. John left, and as
I understand has developed the Skate and Surf Festival, which I imagine will
pay homage to the original concept. I believe it will be held in FREEHOLD, on,
May 18 and 19, a direct slap in the face to Live Nation and Asbury Park. I
suggest when the new council takes over, give John a call and see if maybe,
next year, he might consider returning to Asbury Park. The kid is a winner! I
surmise, after the Bamboozle concert last year, Terry and Gary were fibbing
about negotiating for another Bamboozle. Brian is correct. I don't believe it
was ever coming back. Have a nice day!
