I started writing a HOWTO for wrapping C code from ASCEND. You might want to look at it. I'll be working on it further over the next little while. http://ascendwiki.cheme.cmu.edu/Writing_ASCEND_external_relations_in_C Perhaps when that one is complete I'll add some further notes about accessing FORTRAN code from ASCEND (although there's not much to it, other than understanding the calling convention for FORTRAN functions, which you can do by playing around with the program 'f2c', if nothing else.
