does this fail while trying to load the model or after attempting to
make an instance of it? name resolution failure during loading might be
due to an obscure bug. name resolution failure during instantiation
is usually a problem of modeling or naming error.
So does
VP[i] aliases L_stream.phase['liquid1'].pure[i].VP;
also fail?
