Hi,
My name is Valentina, I'm a second stage university student and I would like
to participate in the Ascend project.
I'm studying electronics and computer engineering. In high-school and
university I learned C, Java and Javascript.
Also, assignments for Java involved working with Swing to develop a simple
browser.
However, I don't have practical experience in programming. I know my theory
pretty well and I can learn knew languages pretty easily. For example, I can
understand assembly and program in 68k assembly. And recently, I went
through the tutorial for Python since it is one of the languages
required/desired for many projects.
I've done advanced maths in high-school followed by engineering maths in
university. Understanding maths was never a problem. Neither was relating it
to my degree. However, I still have difficulty choosing a project for GSoC.
And I would prefer going for something related to engineering.
What do you think would be a suitable project for me?
