Hello, I'm currently reading the GSOC wiki for 2010 and 2011 for student projects, http://ascendwiki.cheme.cmu.edu/Student_projects. I see that Renewable Energy Systems Modelling was present in 2010 with the goal of developing models of photovotaic cells, pumps, turbines based off of the sun's position and weather data. Was this completed? Which models were specifically built? If this is already done then is the goal of the 2011 project to design power plants based off of the models that were already developed?
In short, do I have to code new models of solar and thermal hydraulic components or do I have to design power plants? Or both? Thanks! -Mark
