Hi Animesh,
Developing ASCEND on any Linux seems to be much easier. I'm strongly
recommend you to install for example Ubuntu, Debian or Fedora as your
second operating system. You can use virtual machine also. In that case
download and install e.g. VirtualBox. Then follow this link
http://ascend4.org/Building_ASCEND#Instructions_for_Linux.
If you want to use Windows, you need to install mingw with msys enviroment.
Then download code from http://svn.ascend4.org/trunk/ and compile.
