Yes, that was my worry but I couldn't think of a use case that when outside
attributes and conf files.
I would say -c, --no-conf, --safe and -n all have some potential use,
although I don't need to use any of these at the moment.
I've flip-flopped on this and think your original patch is the way to go. I've
replaced --asciidoc-conf with the more general --asciidoc-opt. By keeping it
singular (it's not --asciidoc-opts as in a2x) my corner case worries are
eliminated. You'll need to replace the --asciidoc-conf option with
--asciidoc-opt "-f CONF_FILE", apologies for any inconvenience. Update in trunk:
