This is a reposting of 'Time for 8.6.6' which ended up as part of an old 'LaTeX
backend patches, round two' thread (I have a habit of creating new messages by
replying to, and overwriting, an existing message -- I'm guessing that Google
uses the meta-data in the replied to header to figure out threading).
Apologies for the confusion.

We've accumulated a number of bug fixes and patches since 8.6.5 so I think it's
time to get them out there, hopefully in a week or so.
If there are any issues that need attention please post a message.
And while I'm at it, a big shout out to Lex Trotman for his sterling work on the
mailing list -- thanks Lex.
