I am generating my docs using

this creates xxx.html and docbook-xsl.css.According to the documentation the

defined" (see
http://www.methods.co.nz/asciidoc/asciidoc.css-embedded.html#X99). I don't
define it, but still get the external css file. I have not found a way to
undefine it either.
Any ideas?
linkcss is for html5 and xhtml11 backends (not docbook).

This is a follow up to an old thread.
Recently, we noticed that when we make a document using the
latest a2x (8.6.7) and its predecessors that the script
will leave behind a copy of docbook-xsl.css. More interesting,
if we already have an older copy of docbook-xsl.css in
the work directory a new, current copy is _not_ written
over the copy of the file already present in the directory.
Presumably, this is so that the user can over-ride the
.css settings and/or link to this copy. In our case, it
means that the latest/greatest copy of the .css file
is not written over an older/stale copy. At least it
seems that way.
